Description:

Stem cespitose, 3.5 m tall, 2.3 cm diam, few spines on the internodes. Leaves 9; sheath 34 cm; petiole 70 cm; rachis 1.11 cm, spines of the leaf flattened and yellow. Inflorescence interfoliar.
