Location:

Panama. Canal Zone: about 1.5 km N of Gamboa, near Chagres Air Field, near edge of the lake (bay).

Description:

Tree, 4-6 m tall. Leaves clustered apically; bracts & calyx dull pink, petals cream within, apex pink without, basal 2/3 of filaments cream, rest pink. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Habitat:

Near edge of the lake (bay).
