Description:
Species Description - Plants caulescent, 5-20 cm tall, flowering plants slightly taller, pale, lustrous (yellow-) green. Leaves 7-15 cm long; sheath small, subdeltoid, densely imbricate; blade rigid coriaceous, very narrowly triangular (finely carinate), 0.7-1 cm wide, long attenuately acute, densely lepidote. Inflorescences 9-15 cm long, unbranched, the peduncle erect or decurved, 5-10 cm long, the spike subdensely and polystichously 4 - 15-flowered, slender ovoid or cylindric, 2.5-5.5 X 1-1.5 cm, the floral bracts inflated, ecarinate, 1.2-1.9 cm long, deep lustrous-pink. Flowers sessile, divergent at anthesis; sepals 1.3-1.5 cm long, markedly carinate, the posterior ones distinctly connate; petal blades spreading, white, broadly obtuse at apex.
Distribution and Ecology - Fl (Oct); epiphyte, abundant on trunks of large trees.
