Notes:
The main axis of the flower is determined by making 1) a longitudinal section of a flower, 2) holding the flower erect and drawing a lline vertically along the middle of the pedicel through the rest of the flower, 3) drawing a line along the first coil of the androecial hood, and 4) determining the upper angle as indicated in the image. This character does no apply to species that do not have an androecial hood.
