Description: The tambaqui fish (Colossoma macropomum) eats fruit and disperses the seeds of species of plants that are not destroyed in the process such as those Astrocaryum jauari and many other species. This is one of the best eating fish of the Amazon.

Definition:

Referring to the process by which diaspores are moved from one place to the other (dispersed) by fish. Same as fish seed dispersal.
