Description: The bipinnately compound leaf of Samanea saman based on Mori & Gracie 27152 from Saba, Netherlands Antilles. The petiole plus the primary rachis equals the leafstalk. Note that both the primary and scondary leaflets are placed opposite to one another along the primary and secondary rachises. Other bipinnate leaves of other species may have them placed alternately.
