Description: Bark of Eschweilera tessmannii based on Mori & Huang 27284 from the Reserva Ducke, Amazonas, Brazil. Note that the outer bark is very thin, the inner bark is red, and the sapwood is light yellow. Pock marks are left when small pieces of outer bark fall from the trunk.
