Description: Abaxial view of part of a leaf blade surface of Eschweilera fanshawei based on D. B. Fanshawe F2747 from Guyana. Note that the midrib is salient and that its ridged nature is and artifact of drying. The secondary veins are prominent but the higher order veins of this species are plane or immersed so they are difficult to see.
