Three types of images are available through the French Guianan e-Flora Project: 1) photographs taken by individuals; 401 botanical line drawings by Bobbi Angell and drawings of palms by Jean-Jacques de Granville which were originally prepared for the Guide to the Vascular Plants of Central French Guiana (Mori et al., 1997, 2002); and images of herbarium specimens, for the most part taken by the staff of the Virtual Herbarium of The New York Botanical Garden. One or all of these kinds of images can be searched for by clicking the appropriate check boxes from the advanced search page.

Permission to use field images, botanical line art, and the paintings must be obtained from the creator of the image (see name associated with the image). Most of the photographs were taken by Carol A. Gracie (cgracie@optonline.net) and Scott A. Mori (smori@nybg.org); all of the botanical line drawings were drawn either by Bobbi Angell or Jean-Jacques de Granville; and the two paintings were created by Michael Rothman.
Images of herbarium specimens can be used without permission but they should be attributed to the Virtual Herbarium of The New York Botanical Garden.
