Costa Rica. Guanacaste. Monteverde area. Hacienda Ira Rosa, 3.7 km above Santa Elena and ca. 1 km before Río Negra, just before the Sky Walk. Alt. 1500 m. (4921 ft.)

Description:

Epiphyte; branches 1 m long. Calyx and pedicel green suffused with red. Corolla cylindric-campanulate, green but suffused with red distally; lobes strongly reflexed, red. Rare. [Photos; wood; pickled].
Habitat:

Lower montane wet forest; remnant trees in pastureland. Rare.
