Discussion:

Phenology. - The type was flowering in March.

Etymology. - Th em is tóeles ia woytko wskii is named to honor Felix Woytkowski (1892- 1966), a Polish botanists who collected in Peru.

Themistoclesia woytkowskii is characterized by its small (8-12 x 5-6 mm) and bluntly acute leaves, solitary flowers, pedicels that are continuous with the calyx and conspicuously long (> 1 cm), and winged calyces. The differences between this species and T geniculata, another species with continuous calyx and 4-merous corollas, are discussed above.
