2. Psammisia hookeriana Klotzsch, Linnaea 24: 46. 1851. This is the first report for P. hookeriana in the Guayanas. The species has been previously known from Colombia, and in Venezuela from the Federal District and the States of Anzoategui, Aragua and Merida.
