Discussion:
Type. Gorge of Caño Negro, Savanna Hills, flower 5-6 parted, white, stamens 5-6; summit of Mt. Duida, Amazonas, Venezuela at 4000 ft alt, Aug 1926 to Apr 1927, G. H. H. Tate 815 (holotype, NY) Ledothamnus parviflorus is a strikingly individual species, by virtue of its diminutive white flowers (as the name implies), and the further diminutive quality of stems and leaves, the very scanty pubescence, and the relative prominence of the well developed petioles.
