Distribution: Endemic to Peru, and known only from two collections from the type locality.

Type: Peru. Cuzco: La ConvenciĆ³n, Cordillera Vilcabamba, between Camps 3 and 4, 2400-2655 m, 6 Jul 1968 (fl), T. R. Dudley 10840 (holotype, NA; isotype, USM).

Conservation Status: Rare and endangered.
