Description:
Description: Pendent, epiphytic shrub; stem subterete, bluntly angled, striate, moderately short-hirsute, glabrate, also provided with few, scattered, globular glands ca. 0.2-0.3 mm diam.; twigs subterete, complanate, sparsely hirsute with white hairs 0.7-0.9 mm long. Leaves coriaceous, stiff, lanceolate or elliptic-lanceolate, 8-18 x 1.2-3.5 cm, base cuneate or obtuse, apex gradually acuminate, glabrous above, very sparsely hirsute along midnerve beneath, glabrate, also with few, minute, globular glands (0.1-0.2 mm diam.) along the margin and onto the lamina above; conspicuously 3(-5)-plinerved, midrib and inner pair of lateral nerves strongly impressed and conspicuous above, raised and conspicuous beneath, reticulate veinlets slightly impressed on both surfaces; petiole subterete, rugose, 4-6(-7) mm long and 1.2-2 mm diam., sparsely short-hirsute, glabrate. Inflorescence racemose, ca. 14 flowered; rachis subterete, striate, ribbed, ca. 10-11 cm long and 1.2-2 mm diam., moderately hirsute, also bearing few, globular, sessile glands along the length; floral bract oblong or oblong-obovate, 17-21 x 5-8 mm, base narrowed and obtuse, apex obtuse or acute, margin ciliolate and also bearing few, tiny, sessile, globular glands on margin and dorsal surface of lamina, pinkish-lilac; pedicel striate, rugose, 11-14 mm long and ca. 1 mm diam., densely hirsute, also with few, scattered, globular glands; bracteoles basal, striate, oblong-ovate, 4-6 x 1.5-3 mm, marginally ciliolate, also bearing along margin few, sessile, globular glands and the tip callose glandular. Flowers with calyx ca. 9 mm long; hypanthium ca. 2 mm long and 2.5-3 mm diam., moderately hirsute, the base apophysate, moderately undulate, and bearing few, globular or disc-shaped glands, pink; limb spreading campanulate, ca. 7 mm long including the lobes, hirsute proximally, pink; lobes triangular, ca. 2 x 1.8-2 mm, erect after anthesis, each margin provided with an oblong to crescent-shaped callose gland, these contiguous at the apex; sinuses acute to obtuse; corolla lilac (fide label). Berry not seen.
