Habitat:
Wet meadow running SW to NE, fed by perennial seeps. Forested slopes and uplands of Pinus contorta and Populus tremuloides. Associated mesic species including Salix, Senecio triangularis, Aquilegia formosa, Smilacina stellata, Mimulus primuloides, Dodecatheon, Potentilla, Ribes, Trifolium. Uncommon, restricted to drier areas in understory; south-facing slopes above seeps. Fine silty soil of pumice origin.
