Description:

terrestrial, scandent shrub with branches to 3 m long. floral bracts green suffused with red, caducous; calyx green, lobes reddish-margined.
Habitat:

secondary growth along roadside slopes. scattered.
Other:

Collection Notes: corolla green, becoming yellowish-green at apex; corolla lobes beco-ming red tinged within in late anthesis. Plant visited by black hovering bees, collecting nectar through nectar-robber holes.
