Description:

A stocky tree, wood hard reddish toward center, covered with brown shredded bark; leaves suberect, numerous shining bright green above, much paler and punctate beneath; flowers not numerous, bright blood red, pendulous, 1/2 inch long or longer, cylindric.

dense moss covered forest basin of Apo.
