Description:

Shrub to 2 m tall, sometimes producing a lignotuber. Calyx red. Corolla rose-red at base and white distally. Locally common. [Pickled; photo; DNA].
Habitat:

Extremely dense shrub páramo, dominated by Ericaceae. Locally common.
