Description:

Tree 3.5 m x 6 cm. calyx maroon, corolla pink, spreading at anthesis; leaves glaucous below. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

savannas and mixed forest; also Bonettia-Moronobea associations along creeks.
