Description:

terrestrial shrub with branches to 1.5 m long. rhachis dark green; pedicels and calyx pale green suffused with orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

steep roadside with remnant forest vegetation.

Collection Notes: corolla tube orange with dark green limb and lobe; visited by hummingbird; orig. det. by JLL 94 as M. aff. ericae (short rachis form); chenge entry in Fl. Ec. database!
