Description:

Terrestrial shrub to 1.5 m. Calyx green suffused with red. Corolla white, suffused with pink or red. Berry turning blue-black. Locally infrequent. [Plants pretreated with EtOH.] [DNA; pickled].
Habitat:

Steep roadside, dry slopes. With Calamagrostis, Lophosoria, Baccharis genistioides, and Gaultheria tomentosa.
