Ecuador. Loja. Nudo de Huagrauma area, ca. 48-50 km N of Loja & 11-13 km S of Saraguro. Alt. 2985 - 3080 m. (9793 - 10105 ft.)

Description:

Shrub with branches to 3 m long. Floral bracts whitish at base, dark pink distally. Pedicels pale rose; calyx dark rose-red. Corolla dark rose-red lower 3/4, the upper 1/4 plus lobes white.

Habitat:

Heavily disturbed cloud forest edge. One plant seen.
