Peru. Amazonas. Chachapoyas Prov. Near Piñamonte, 77 km NE of Balsas and 15.6 km SW of Leymebamba. Alt. 2850 m. (9350 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial shrub to 1.5 m. Calyx green suffused with red. Corolla white, suffused with pink or red. Berry turning blue-black.

Habitat:

Steep roadside, dry slopes with Calamagrostis, Lophosoria, Baccharis genistioides, and Gaultheria tomentosa. Locally infrequent.
