Description:

shrub to 2m; lvs dark green above, very light matte green beneath, brittle, stiff; calyx dark red, corolla red, filaments white flushed with pink, stamens, style and stigma whitish; young fruit intenred in center, becoming red.
Habitat:

mixed-evergreen forest. locally abundant.
