Description:

Subshrub mostly monopodial of 1-1.5 m. Pedicel and calyx dark wine red, corolla fleshy pink, immature fruit wine red, revolute leaf edges. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Prominant vegetation of dwarf shrubs on tuberas, groves, and riparian vegetation on open rocks. Locally common in thickets.
