Description:

Terrestrial to 2 m. Rachis, bracts, pedicels and calyx magenta. Corolla violet at base and blue-purple distal 4/5. Infrequent. [photo].

Habitat:

Cloud forest (somewhat elfin forest at top). Infrequent.
