Colombia. Antioquia. Frontino Mun. Corrig. Nutibara, región de Murrí. Ca. 5-7 km. W of Altos de Cuevas. Alt. 1300 - 1400 m. (4265 - 4593 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial and epiphytic, 3 m. Floral bracts dark scarlet. Rachis and bracteoles pink. Calyx green, the lobes suffused with pink or becoming totally pink, the glands green, viscid. Corolla pearl white, nitid, the lobe margins purple. (Photo; pickled). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Heavily disturbed premontane forest. Common, but little in flower.
