United States of America. New Jersey. Middlesex Co. Along track bearing away from Old Stage Rd. Almost opposite to Pawnee Rd, East Brunswick.

Description:

Shrub. Shrub to 6 - 7'; new leaves present, but many still ratter soft. inflorescence terminal with late buds open flowers and some with corolla dropped. Corolla white. Flower buds helically arranged but all flowers turn so they hang down.
Habitat:

Basically an area of pine-oak woods with shrubs layer. Other shrubs with this species: Clethra aluifolia, Rhododendron racecosum, Vaccinium corymbosum. found in scatter areas. Soil largely sand.
