Description:

Flowers red purple in loose racemes, frequently in the axils of many successive leaves. Plants had youngish buds to mature fruits.
Habitat:

Large sprawling shrub along trail in secondary growth montane forest (basically Nothofagus forest but with the Nothofagus cut out).
