Description:

shrub to 2.5 m, weak, almost scrambling. flowers few, corolla hanging, bright red; new growth red. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

dense scrub of the giant terrestrial bromeliad Brocchinia tatei, with scattered shrubs and small trees, many Ericacea.
