Panama. Chiriquí. Trail along continental divide with Bocas del Toro, N of Fortuna Dam, ca. 2 km along side road W off main road to Chiriquí Grande. Alt. 1190 - 1400 m. (3904 - 4593 ft.)

Description:

Epiphyte, to 2 m. Pedicels, calyx, and corolla basal half reddish-orange; corolla white in distal half. Corolla swollen in basal half. Visited by hummingbird, Lampornis c. castaneoventis. Abundant.

Habitat:

Premontane cloud forest. Abundant.
