Description:

shrub to 1.5 m tall. floral bracts, bracteoles, rachis, pedicels, calyx and lower 3/4 of corolla red; upper 1/4 of corolla pale green.

Habitat:

roadside slopes through montane cloud forest. common, little in flower.
