Description:

epiphytic shrub with branches 2-3 m long. leaves dark green above, nitid; floral bracts greenish but heavily suffused with rose-red; calyx green.

Habitat:

forested slopes, montane cloud forest. common.

Collection Notes: calyx lobes finged with pink; corolla deep rose-red lower 3/4, pure white upper 1/4; fruits green turning dark blue-black
