Location:

Brazil. Distrito Federal. Fazenda Agua Limpa (University of Brasília field station), near Vargem Bonita, c. 18 km SSW of Brasília TV tower. Along the stream which descends from below the Olho de Agua da Onça.

Description:

Slender shrub to 3 m tall. Flowers scarlet in some individuals and pink in others. Ripe fruits black. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

In the wall-like margin of the gallery forest on very wet soil.
