Description:

Epiphyte, branches to 2 m. Pedicels and calyx green suffused with orange. Calyx post-anthesis erect, dark green. Corolla bright dark reddish-orange. Berry turning dark maroon. Common.

Habitat:

Ecotone of puna grassland with remnant forest patches.
