Description:

tiny rhizomatous suffrutescent herb. rachis, calyx and corolla red; corolla lobes white; fruit blue-black.
Habitat:

subpáramo dominated by Espeletia partoneoides and Neurolepis; embed-ded in moss and Stereolaulon. scarce.
