Description:

A bushy shrub, larger or smaller, according to situation. Superficially very like no. 280, but leaves much more laxly lepidote. Truss 4-flowered, capsule smaller, seeds coffee coloured, leaves sparsely lepidote beneath, bud scales lepidote, the flower buds larger and less pointed than those of no. 280.
Habitat:

On rocks in river beds. Often with no. 280, but commoner.
