Description:

Shrub. Outer bark of older stems scarcose peeling in large flakes; inner bark striated. Outer bark Shrub. Outer bark of older stems scarcose peeling in large flakes; inner bark striated. Outer bark of young shoots brown-red and shiny. Pedicel and calyx light green, wings small, .5 cm, and reddish or calyx completely red. Corolla tubular, angled specially at base, light bright clear red (cerise); lobes olive green, turning green; inner throat with inconspicuous white hairs. Filament tube white; anthers yellow.
