Description:

terrestrial or epiphytic shrub 1-3 m tall. floral bracts dark pinkish-red, rachises and pedicels pale pink; ca-lyx and lower 1/2 to 3/4 corolla pink to dark pink.

Habitat:

subpáramo slopes dominate by Ericaceae. common.
