Ecuador. Pichincha. Quito-Santo Domingo old rd., 7-14 km SW of San Juan de Chiriboga. Alt. 2900 m. (9514 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial shrub. Calyx pinkish-green. Corolla red at very base (lowest 1/5), but white above (upper 4/5), slightly angled. Berry purple at maturity. (photo; pickled). Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

disturbed roadside slopes through montane forest.
