Description:

Tree 2 m tall, the trunk 1.5 cm diam; bark smooth, reddish; flowers white with only the faintest suggestion of pink coloration, not particularly fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Palustrine System. Open Peatlands--Rich shrub fen at edge of railroad right-of-way.
