Description:

terrestrial shrub with branches to 1 m. floral bracts translucent dark rose-red; pedicels and calyx pink at anthesis; lower 3/4 of corolla orangish-red.

Habitat:

steep moist roadside slopes and pasture borders. one plant seen.
