Description:

terrestrial shrub wiht branches arching to 1.5 m. rhachis green heavily suffused with purple; floral bracts and brac- teoles greenish-white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

roadside slopes through montane cloud forest. infrequent.

Collection Notes: pedicels, calyx and lower 3/4 of corolla bright red; upper 1/4 of corolla white; in bud only
