Description:

shrub 1.5 m tall. corolla white, sometimes pinkish; mature calyx white turning maroon.

Habitat:

andean forest, subpáramo and Polylepis-forest between 3500-3900m; páramo starting about 3700 to 3950 m. scattered in Polylepis f.
