Discussion:
13. Mycerinus A. C. Smith, Bull. Torrey Club 58: 441. 1931. With the addition of the following new taxon, the genus Mycerinus contains three species all of which are endemic to Guayana. Each species has its own disdnct distribudon within the Highland region of Venezuela. A. C. Smith (1932) placed Mycerinus (at that time as a monotypic genus) with Macleania and Psammisia on the basis of stamen simUarides. The addidon of the two new species strengthens that ahiance based on both stamen and pollen morphology.
