Discussion:
The cited specimens are very typical of the species, which is known from several collections from Pichincha and extends northward into Narino. Sleumer inadvertently omitted this species from his review of the Psammis'iae with pinnatinerved leaves (Bot. Jahrb. 71: 403-404. 1941).
