Description:
Dark chocolate brown, subvelutinous pileus. White flesh, cyanescent then pale red to pink, eventually dark brown to black. Hymenophore becoming vinaceous brownish, cyanescent to dull red, then dark brown to black. Appears identical to material from Queensland, but the pileipellis does not turn green in alkali (KOH, NH3).
