Description:

Pileus 2.5-5 cm broad, obtusely conic to barely conico-convex, glutinous at first, soon sticky subviscid, eventually dry, dark cinnamon brown to brown, with sterile, white appendiculate veil remnants at margin. Flesh white unchanging, becoming soft and spongy with age, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, white at first, soon vinaceous pinkish, staining pale brown with bruising. Stipe 6-8 cm long, 7-9 mm broad, equal, white above, cinnamon brown to brown below, lacunose-reticulate, eventually brown overall, especially on ridges of reticulum and somewhat paler between ridges, moist and subglutinous when young, subviscid with age, with interior white, unchanging, with white at base.
