Exsiccatae from the Barneby Monographs
Exsiccatae can be useful curation tools. They can be a source of identifications for herbarium specimens languishing in obscurity in folders of unidentified material. These particular documents can be searched electronically by collectors’ names or numbers, but if such a search is unsuccessful, try searching by eye because on occasion some information was missed when the original hard copy was scanned.
